| 内容記述 | 本研究の目的は,終末期がん患者が選択する生き方とその本質を明らかにし,生き方を選択する終末期がん患者に対する看護のあり方を検討することである。病名・病状を知っており症状コントロールの良好な終末期がん患者6名を対象に,参加観察法と面接法によりデータ収集を行い,質的帰納的に分析を行った。分析の結果,得られた終末期がん患者の選択する生き方の本質は,1)生命の維持と病状の安定を求める,2)迫りくる死に身を委ねる,3)自己を重視する,4)自らの力を信じる,5)他者を気遣う,6)心理的安寧を求める,の6つに集約された。生き方を選択する終末期がん患者への看護のあり方として,1)病状を正しく認識できるように助ける,2)死と向き合い人生を回顧する患者に寄り添う,3)生きる希望を支える,4)患者の自分らしさを尊重する,5)患者が必要とする医療を提供することが重要である。 | |||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to investigate the decision making of terminal cancer patients on how to live the rest of their life, and to determine the most suitable nursing care. We studied 6 terminal cancer patients who knew the name of their disease and their condition, and whose symptom control was good. Data was collected using the participant-observation method and semi-structured interviews, and was analyzed qualitatively and inductively. The essential points in the decision making of the patients on how to live the rest of their life were as follows: 1) To pursue maintenance of life and stability of the condition, 2) To entrust oneself to the fact that death is near, 3) To value one's self, 4) To believe in one's own power, 5) To care for others, 6) To pursue psychological well-being. We conclude that the following are important elements of nursing care to support terminal cancer patients who are making decisions on how to live the rest of their life: 1) to help them to understand their illness and their condition correctly, 2) to provide physical and emotional support to patients as they face death and review their life, 3) to support patients' desire to live, 4) to respect the patients' sense of self, 5) to offer the medical care that patients require. | |||||||||||||||||
