Although the support provided for such children is increasing accordingly, it is still far from suffi cient. In this study, we interviewed a subject with foreign roots who grew up in Japan, collected information about his experiences, and discussed what kind of support is necessary. It was found that the experience of being able to work on what he wanted to do was important for him to accept his roots as a part of his personality in Japanese society and envision his future in his own way.
